Dr Seffah is a professor of human-centric software engineering (HCSE) and HCI. His interests includes human-data-smart connected objects interactions design, the engineering of cyber physical interactive systems as well as their applications for solving the sustainability and other societal challenges.
Hana is an HCI developer aspiring to build a research and development portfolio dedicated to evolving the role of interactive design in creating scalable human-centric experiences to solve real world use-cases. She holds a PhD in Technology, a Masters and Bachelors of Science in Computer Graphics from Purdue University. She currently leads a research group as a UX and usability researcher for user modeling and calm computing of AI products in a connected home
Dr. Amin Kuhail completed his PhD Degree in Computer Science from IT University of Copenhagen in 2013, and MSc in Software Engineering from the University of York in 2007. Dr. Kuhail is a computer scientist and software engineer with a diverse skill set that spans web development, object-oriented programming, algorithms, usability, and data science.
Dr. Negreiros (http://joaogarrot.rocks) has a background and analytical interests in other cultures, together with a command of several European languages gives him the confidence to handle professional Business Management, Technology in Education and IT Research with proven leadership, adaptability and systematic working approach. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science (Lisbon, Portugal), MBA (San Diego, CA), PhD in Technologies (Geographical Information Systems - Spatial Analysis) and a Post-Doc in Almeria University (Andalucia, Spain).
Fatima Al Harbi is an instructor in the College of Technological Innovation for last three years. She is a Ph.D. candidate at Trinity College Dublin, and she has an MS of Telecommunication Engineering (George Washington University) and an MS of Computer Science in Engineering (Purdue University). She has over 19 years in the research and education field, 8 years of industrial experiences in software design, analysis, and testing. In Addition, she has an excellent knowledge of heuristic optimization and complex systems’ mechanisms and human data analytics.
Samia Loucif received the B.Sc. degree in computer science from Constantine University, Algeria, her Master's degree in computer science from Constantine University in cooperation with Glasgow University, Scotland, and her Ph.D. degree in computer science from Glasgow University. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at Zayed University, UAE, since Aug. 2019. Prior to joining Zayed University, Dr. Samia Loucif was an Associate Professor at ALHOSN University from Aug. 2007 to 2018 where she was the Chair of the Software Engineering Department. She was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Faculty of Engineering, Moncton University, New Brunswick, Canada, in 2007, and as Assistant Professor, UAE from 1999 to Dec. 2006. Her current research interests include parallel computer architectures, high performance computing, On-Chip networks, IoT protocols, performance evaluation and mathematical modelling of networks, and cognitive radio networks.
Dr. Loucif has served on program committees of over 30 international conferences and workshops. She was member of the organizing committee of several international conferences the 4th IEEE International Conference on Data Science and Systems, the 14th IEEE International Conference on Ubiquitous Computing and Communications, the International Conference on Mobile Web Information Systems, the Free and Open Source Software Conference 2013, Co-Chair of several international workshops such as the IEEE International workshop on the Performance Analysis and Enhancement of Wireless Networks, the IEEE International Workshop on Performance and Management of Wireless and Mobile Networks, the International Workshop on the Design and Performance of Network-on- Chip, and the International Workshop on mobile applications. She published over thirty conference and journal research papers. Dr. Loucif is a member of the IEEE since 2000.
Dr. Ons is a faculty member at the College of Technological Innovation, Zayed University. She received her MSc and PhD degrees in E-business technology and Interactive Systems from the University of Manchester, UK. Prior to joining Zayed University, Dr. Ons taught at the University of Manchester- UK, Hamdan Bin Mohammad Smart University, and served as the Director of Information Technology Management program at the American University in the Emirates. In addition to the academic experience, Dr. Ons is a certified EFQM assessor, certified UX specialist from Nielsen Norman Group NN/g- London and has worked as User Experience consultant for various projects in the UK and UAE.
Azmat Rasul started his career as a public relations professional and worked for the Government of the Punjab for six years as Public Relations and Communication Manager. Later, he served University of the Punjab for three years before leaving for the United States as a Fulbright scholar at Florida State University. Rasul also went to Aarhus University, Denmark and University of Amsterdam, Holland as a part of the Erasmus Mundus Program in Journalism and Media. For the last 17 years, he has been engaged in teaching and research at various universities in South Asia and the United States. Dr. Rasul’s research focuses on the interplay between politics and strategic uses of entertainment and new media, effects of strategic communication on attitudes, public diplomacy, the political economy of global entertainment industries, media regulation and policy, and gender portrayals.
Raji Ridwan Adetunji earned a PhD in Media Management from the School of Multimedia and Communication Technology, Universiti Utara Malaysia and specialized in Marketing Communications, Media Management, Brand Management and Consumer Responses. He obtained an MPhil in Management with a major in Marketing Communication from the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
